A natural-born entrepreneur, Dion started his advertising journey at a young age. Drawing on his background in talent management and marketing, he co-founded legendary Australian youth marketing agency, Lifelounge, back in 1999. Over the next 16 years, he grew the agency into an award-winning specialist marketing company helping established brands to make meaningful connections with young adults. He also launched the Lifelounge Sweeney Report, now widely considered the leading insights and trend report into Australians aged 16-30.
DDB acquired Lifelounge in 2015 and appointed Dion to the role of Managing Director. He brings unparalleled insights into what will be, by 2025, Australia’s largest spending segment.
Dion is a board member and director of The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, sits on an RMIT advisory committee for its advertising courses and is a member of the Victorian Committee for the Communications Council.
